The Offshore Wind market keeps evolving, meaning bigger windmills are being fabricated. Bigger windmills also mean heavier transport, and that is where we come in. For us as an organization specialized in heavy lifting and transport, creating solutions for the transport of this heavier material is what we love.
Recently we received a request from one of our clients for the design of adjustable Monopile Transport Saddles. As their fabrication yard is evolving alongside with the market, the Monopiles fabricated in their facility are getting bigger and heavier. To transport these saddles out of their facility to the temporary storage buns, new transport saddles were needed.
Our in-house designed adjustable Monopile Transport Saddles enable them to transport saddles up to a diameter of 12 meters, with a capacity of 500 tons per saddle. Last week the first monopile made it out of their facility on the Q3 designed saddles. It is always nice to see our designs in action 😍
