In 2025, two established industry leaders—Q3 Group from the Netherlands and Autokrane Schares from Germany—joined forces to create SQ3 GmbH: a powerful new partner in the world of heavy transport and engineered lifting solutions.

With this strategic merger, we combine nearly a century of hands-on experience with state-of-the-art technology, modern engineering capabilities, and an unmatched drive for quality, safety, and reliability. Our Combined Heritage

Autokrane Schares GmbH, founded in 1927 in Bocholt, Germany, began as a small metalworking company and has grown through four generations of leadership into a trusted name in heavy lifting and transport. With a strong reputation built over almost 100 years, Schares has continuously invested in advanced equipment—from the first in-house built crane in 1957 to today’s cutting-edge fleet of mobile cranes (up to 700 tonnes), SPMTs, and hydraulic lifting systems like the Enerpac JS-250.

This history reflects a commitment to progress and precision, with a clear focus on reliability, regional presence, and long-term partnerships. Key milestones include fleet expansions, depot openings across Germany, and strategic certifications (such as SCC), all underscoring a deep-rooted competence in both local and international operations.

Q3 Group, with decades of expertise in complex freight and engineering logistics, has developed into a full-service provider for offshore and onshore projects. Known for its technical precision, Q3 has built a strong presence in the Dutch market and beyond through its four specialized entities, each focusing on areas like project logistics, engineering, heavy lifting, and safety planning.

Q3’s approach is defined by thorough preparation, smart engineering, and seamless project management—whether it involves transporting massive components, installing infrastructure, or planning high-risk operations with zero margin for error.
